The Renault Fuego was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1980, replacing the Renault 15 and 17. Sometimes compared to a French Porsche, the Turbodiesel version of the Renault Fuego still reached 175 km/h, making it the fastest diesel-powered production car in the world and thus surpassing its German competitors!
The Renault Fuego is a four-seater coupé; to be clear, it has a sporty line but you can sit in the back. For a real impression of space, the car could be equipped with an electrically opening canvas roof as an option.
In the Turbo version, the Renault Fuego is powered by a turbocharged engine that allows it to reach 132 hp (not bad!). As a bonus, the Renault Fuego Turbo offered crazy options for the time: central locking, electric front windows and even leather interior with a diamond on the front seats. What class!
