The Fiat 500 R Abarth is a tribute to the dreams of young people of that time, when popular cars, those of parents and grandparents, could be transformed into "sporty" cars that appealed to even the youngest. Based on the 500 R, the "Renewed" version with a 595cc engine, our 500 R Abarth offers a very different driving experience than a classic 500.
The aggressive look, thanks to a dedicated Abarth-style decal, hood hooks for quick refueling, and a lowered ride height, complements an interior where the classic round speedometer gives way to a dual instrument panel with a rev counter, a smaller-diameter sports steering wheel, and a red leatherette interior with a typically 1960s look. Light-alloy wheels and windshield wipers modified like those on Abarth racing cars complete the package.
As for the mechanical part, the already more lively engine of the “R” is coupled to a 4-speed synchronized gearbox that makes the 500 R Abarth easier to drive even for less expert drivers.
