We start driving our classic spider from Bergamo direction Sarnico. During our trip we will get through the Valcalepio, Castelli Calepio and a lot of other gorgeous villages. We will meet the Castel dei Conti Calepio, the Carolingian Palace, the Church of San Lorenzo and a lovely restored medieval village. Continuing in the direction of the lake we first find Credaro where we can admire the Romanesque Churches of San Fermo and San Giorgio, the Montecchio and also the Trebecco Castles.
Next village is Villongo and then we arrive to Sarnico.
Sarnico offer an historical center with narrow streets, many churches, remains of medieval buildings and splendid Art Nouveau villas, it is one of the most popular towns on the lake. Continuing along the provincial road towards Bergamo we meet Villongo where, by taking the Adrara direction, we reach the ancient rural structure of Castel Merlo, with its beautiful Romanesque church. Here we can also visit Adrara San Martino and Adrara San Rocco, both medieval villages.
After those villages, the road climbs towards the panoramic Colli di San Fermo, favorite place for fans of free flight. We continue to drive our classic car and reach the opposite side of the hills, we descend to Grone and we should stop the engine for enjoy the panoramic view overlooking the Val Cavallina.
We're now just four km away from Casazza from where we reach Lake Endine, a paradise for fisherman. Continuing through some of the most impressive landscapes we reach S. Felice al Lago, followed by Spinone al Lago.
Another stop can be Trescore Balneario, known for its thermal baths. Here you can spend some time relaxing.
Before getting back to Bergamo we should make one last stop to San Paolo d'Argon, the village is famous for the great Benedictine monastery and also for the production of the famed wine named Valcalepio Doc.
