This Duetto is one of the few totally Italian vintage cars which has reached worldwide fame.
Duetto was the official name for the new Spider which Alfa Romeo launched in 1966 putting together the short platform from the Giulia and the motor from the Giulia 1600 GTV with the beautiful body designed by Pininfarina, this was agreed by a vote from the readers of the main weekly car magazines of the time.
In 1968 the Spider 1300 Junior closed the ‘Osso di Seppia’ series which remained in production until 1969 together with the 1750 Spider Veloce. From 1969 there followed various models which have helped spread the fame of this brand, synonymous of sporting looks beauty around the world although the elegance of this model is undoubtedly unrivalled.
